General car rental terms by TS Rent A Car

These car rental describe the main requirements for the renter, payment methods, included and additional insurance, responsibilities and additional services. Before booking, read the full text and ask for clarification of any unclear clause

Renter requirements

The renter must present a valid driving licence with control card, issued at least 3 years earlier, as well as an identity card or passport. The minimum age of the renter is 24 years.

Payment method

Eurocard, Mastercard, Visa and cash payment are accepted.

Insurance when renting a car

The rental price includes Third Party Liability insurance according to Bulgarian legislation.

Additional insurance AI

It is concluded for an additional fee at the customer’s request and releases the customer from liability in case of damage to tyres, rims, windscreen and chassis.

Super insurance CDW + TP

It is concluded for an additional fee at the customer’s request and fully releases the customer from liability in case of damage. It does not apply to damage to tyres, rims, windscreen and chassis.

CASCO insurance

CASCO insurance includes Super insurance CDW + TP and Additional insurance AI.

When additional insurance is concluded, the renter’s liability in case of damage or theft is reduced to the amount of the deposit. The additional insurance does not release the renter from the obligation to provide a police report in case of damage.

What insurance and fees do not cover

The insurance and fees accepted by the renter do not cover damage or loss of interior parts, antenna, wipers, emblems, radio/CD, navigation system and mirrors; windows broken through negligence; theft of personal luggage; damage to tyres, rims, hubcaps and the undercarriage of the vehicle.

When insurance is invalid

Insurance is considered invalid when the vehicle is used to transport dangerous goods; illegal transport of passengers or goods; driving by an unauthorized driver or a driver under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances; driving off paved roads; leaving the territory of the country without permission; or unauthorized repairs to the vehicle.

In case of damage or theft, the renter must immediately notify an employee of TS Rent A Car and the competent authorities. If a traffic police report is not provided, all insurance is considered invalid and the renter is liable for lost profits and the full value of the vehicle.

Additional services and fees

Delivery and collection services are provided upon prior request. Within Sofia, Varna and Burgas, they are free of charge during working hours.

• Airport fee: a fee applies.
• Additional driver: a daily fee applies.
• Additional equipment: a fee applies for a baby seat, child seat and navigation system.
• Loss of documents, keys or registration plates: EUR 200.00.
• Missing fuel: EUR 2.00 per litre of petrol or diesel.

Mileage, VAT and one-way rentals

Unlimited mileage is provided for a rental period over 15 days. For rentals up to 15 days, the limit is up to 150 km per day, and the surcharge is 0.05 EUR per kilometre.

All prices are in euro and do not include 20% VAT.
